This is a 1974 Mazda RX-4 project car, owned by Jose of JAS Import Parts. Notice the straight interior.
Con's 2 RX 4s. They're both project cars with LOTS of work put in and big plans for more things. Here's what went into these two beauties in Con's own words:
My blue 1976 rx4 has a JDM 2JZGTTE motor, Microtech LTX-12 computer,T-60 turbo, 330mm front brakes ,custom alloy hubs,4 piston Willwood magnesium calipers,18x8 front with 215 35 18 and 265 36 18 rear, custom adjustable suspension with Noltec poly bushes, costom Saner sway bars with the front modified to clear oil sump 27mm,Konis,King springs and too many things going on at the moment like a custom close ratio Steering Rack & pinion thats on its way , custom rear end again a Toyota Item with big brakes, Interior has been don apart from the seat(not purchased yet) every Item on the car is new like weather strips and a lot of trim , a lot of the parts I brought with me from Australia cause I cant find them here , its been a bare metal ground up restoration. Now I know what a lot of Rotorheads are going to say about the 2JZGTTE motor but I still am a rotary freak I have another RX4 thats 90% done and it's getting a Peripheral Port in about a month (currently street port) but I want to get a ton of HP mate and two tons of torque and I know a 20B could have been close but I am shooting for 550-650 hp and 500ft/lb of torque all day everyday and the funny thing is that my mate has an RX4 with a 20b turbo (Simon from Promaz Australia) and the 20B fully dressed is not as light you'd think almost there with the 2JZ, who knows one day I might throw a 20B we'll see how this one performs.
